Activities Dijkstaal: Supply and assembly of steel constructions for a total of 3 subprojects, namely:
Steel construction Automatic Order Pick Installation 1 (OPI 1)
Steel construction Automatic Order Pick Installation 2 (OPI 2)
Steel construction Additional Logistics (OPI 3)
Total of what was carried out consists of:
Approx. 150 tons of internal steelwork with tracks for the robots, partly also assembled at night and everything with mini crawler cranes, forklifts and aerial platforms;
Approx. 1,100m² of thermally galvanized steel mesh gratings;
Approx. 400m¹ industrial fencing with hand and knee rails;
4 industrial straight staircase combinations;
3 cage ladders with plastic “safety gates”.
The steelwork is completely provided with a 2-layer powder coating in connection with the application in a conditioned space.
Heemskerk fresh & easy has made this mega investment in robotization in order to:
1) be able to meet the increasing demand for fresh, healthy and fast meals and
2) in this way be able to increase its speed and delivery reliability and
3) in addition, the robots help the employees to get the work done.
