Noise barriers Maassluis

Steel structures for a better living environment in Maassluis

In Maassluis we worked on the realisation of new noise barriers that directly contribute to a quieter and more pleasant living environment. A project in which steel structures not only provide strength, but also improve daily living comfort.

For these barriers we produced 129 top posts and 129 foundation piles. The posts are constructed from robust IPE profiles of S235 steel, which are thermally galvanised and double-layered powder-coated in RAL 6007 after manufacture. This treatment provides the screen components with long-term protection against weather, wind and wear and tear, and they visually fit in beautifully with the green surroundings.

A special feature of the project is the height of the noise barrier. On an existing noise barrier of three metres, we built a top screen of 3.5 metres, bringing the total screen height to 6.5 metres. This combination not only ensures effective noise reduction but also a quiet, uniform appearance along the Kastanjedal and Doornenbuurt.

Each style and post is precisely produced and assembled, with great attention to dimensions and finish. The screen filling is carefully integrated to optimally block out sound while at the same time retaining light and space in the environment.

With this smart and sustainable steel solution, we contribute to an environment in which living becomes more comfortable and pleasant and we show how well-considered steelwork has a direct impact on the quality of life.
