Work Dijkstaal:

Delivering and installing 2 trusses with a length of 28 metres, a height of 2.5 metres and a weight of approx. 17 tonnes each, completely provided with TSA (Thermal Sprayed Aluminium, also known as Metallisering) with an additional anti-graffiti coating.

The trusses are constructed from custom-cut round tubes 355.6 in 20 mm thickness and 60 mm thick support strips and prefabricated end fittings for the connection with the prefabricated concrete girders. All the steelwork is in S355 quality.

The King Willem-Alexander Bridge is a refined response to the need to also give larger and higher boats access to the Singels of Breda, so that a better water sports experience can take place. The slenderness of the construction ensures that there is not too much of a threshold over the river Mark and that the Tramsingel connects to the Academiesingel in a natural way.
